Title: Gallery Versions Prior to 2.2.4 Multiple Remote Vulnerabilities and Unspecified Weakness

Severity: HIGH

Description:

Gallery is a PHP-based photo-album application.

Gallery is prone to multiple remote issues:

- An arbitrary file-upload vulnerability occurs in the 'Publish XP' module. This may allow unauthorized users to upload arbitrary files onto the webserver.

- A local file-include issue occurs in the 'URL rewrite' module. An attacker can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary local-scripts within the context of the webserver process or to obtain sensitive information.

- An information-disclosure vulnerability resides in the hotlink protection. This issue occurs in the 'URL rewrite' module. An attacker can exploit this issue to obtain sensitive information that may help the attacker launch other attacks.

- A cross-site scripting vulnerability occurs in the 'Core / add-item' modules when an attacker specifies a malicious filename. The attacker can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code, steal cookie-based authentication credentials, and launch other attacks.

- An unspecified vulnerability resides in the file-extension checks of the '(Gallery application) / MIME' module. The impact of this vulnerability is currently unknown.

- An unspecified vulnerability resides within the file-extension check of uploaded files in the 'Core' module.

- A security vulnerability resides in the 'Gallery Remote' module. This issue occurs because the application fails to check the permissions on certain 'GR' commands.

- A cross-site scripting vulnerability resides in 'WebDAV' module. This issue occurs because the application fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied input. The issue occurs in the 'HTTP PROPPATCH'. An attacker can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code, steal cookie-based authentication credentials, and launch other attacks.

- An information-disclosure vulnerability resides in the 'WebDAV' module in the WebDAV view. An attacker can exploit this issue to obtain sensitive information that may lead to other attacks.

- An information-disclosure vulnerability resides in the 'Comment' module in the comment view. An attacker can exploit this issue to obtain sensitive information that may lead to other attacks.

- Multiple information-disclosure vulnerabilities resides in the 'Core' module. These issues may allow an attacker to obtain sensitive information that may lead to other attacks.

- An information-disclosure vulnerability occurs in the 'Slideshow' module because the software discloses information about the 'item' data to unauthorized users. An attacker can exploit this issue to obtain sensitive information that may lead to other attacks.

- An information-disclosure vulnerability occurs in various 'Print' modules because the software discloses information about the 'item' data to unauthorized users. An attacker can exploit this issue to obtain sensitive information that may lead to other attacks.

- A security vulnerability allows attackers to perform phishing-style attacks. This issue occurs in the 'Core' module and various 'Print' modules. Attackers can exploit this issue to obtain sensitive information that may lead to other attacks.

- An unspecified weakness in the 'WebCam' module occurs when processing proxy requests. The impact of the weakness is currently unknown.
