Title: Multiple FTP Vendor 'GET' Denial of Service Vulnerability
Severity: MODERATE
Description:
A vulnerability exists in Serv-U FTP Server, G6 FTP Server and WarFTPd Server, which could enable a user to cause the host to stop responding.
Requesting a 'a:/' GET or RETR command appended with arbitrary data, will cause the host's CPU usage to spike to 100%.
If the malicious GET or RETR command is repeatedly submitted to the host running either one of the affected services, the attacker will accomplish a denial of service.
The extent of the denial of service is dependent on the frequency of the attacker's requests.
