Description:
Michael Lamont Savant HTTP Server is an open source webserver.
It is possible for an attacker to traverse the directory structure of a host running Savant HTTP Server.
Submitting a URL containing a known directory or filename, appended with specific unicode character sequences, will disclose the contents of the requested resource. The unicode character in question is '%2f..'. This vulnerability could allow a user to gain access to various files residing on the target outside the webserver's specified directory tree.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could reveal sensitive data which may be used to assist in further attacks against the host.
