Title: Denicomp rexecd Denial of Service Vulnerability

Description:

Denicomp's rexecd is a Remote Exec daemon for Windows NT and 9x.

The daemon listens for connections coming from a remote host via rexec over TCP/IP.

Upon receiving a connection, rexecd validates access, requiring a password, then executes the specified program.

A denial of service vulnerability exists in Denicom's Windows ports of the rexec daemon.

If an abnormally long sequence of characters (at least 4300 bytes) is sent to the port on which the daemon is listening (by default, :512), the service will terminate, and require a restart.
