Title: bcoos Multiple SQL Injection and Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerabilities

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

The 'bcoos' program is a PHP-based content manager.

The application is prone to multiple input-validation vulnerabilities because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied data:

- Multiple SQL-injection vulnerabilities affect the 'lid' parameter of the '/modules/myalbum/ratephoto.php' and '/modules/mylinks/ratelink.php' scripts.

- Multiple cross-site scripting vulnerabilities affect the application when input is passed via HTTP GET requests to the 'day' and 'year' parameters of the '/modules/ecal/display' script.

A successful exploit may allow an attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials, compromise the application, access or modify data, or exploit latent vulnerabilities in the underlying database.

These issues affect bcoos 1.0.10; other versions may also be affected.

UPDATE (December 3, 2007): The SQL-injection issue affecting the 'gid' parameter of the '/modules/arcade/index.php' script was removed because it was previously covered under BID 25790.

Affected Products:

  • bcoos bcoos 1.0.10
