Title: Subdreamer CMS Comments Function Security Bypass Vulnerability

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

Subdreamer CMS is a PHP-based content manager.

The application is prone to a security-bypass vulnerability because it fails to properly validate user credentials before performing certain actions. The issue presents itself in the 'Comments' function in the 'includes/functions.php' script. The function fails to validate user permissions before it allows users to post comments.

A successful attack allows unregistered and unauthenticated attackers to post arbitrary comments by going directly to the edit comments page when anonymous posting is disabled.

This issue affects Subdreamer CMS 2.4.3.1 and prior versions.

Affected Products:

  • Subdreamer Subdreamer CMS 2.4.3.1
