Grandstream HandyTone-488 is a Voice-over-IP (VoIP) phone.
Grandstream HandyTone-488 is prone to a denial-of-service vulnerability that resides in the implementation of its IP stack. Specifically, the device fails to handle fragmented IP packets over port 5060. This port is used to communicate with the device's public IP address.
An attacker could exploit this issue by flooding port 5060 with fragmented IP packets to crash the affected device, denying service to legitimate users.
