Title: 3proxy FTP Proxy Double Free Memory Corruption Vulnerability
Severity: MODERATE
Description:
3proxy is a free proxy server for Linux/UNIX and Windows.
3proxy is prone to a double-free memory-corruption vulnerability. Specifically, the 'hostname' parameter is freed in both the 'ftpprchild()' and 'parsehostname()' functions. A remote attacker could cause denial-of-service conditions by issuing multiple 'OPEN' commands to the FTP proxy.
This issue affects 3proxy 0.5.3i; other versions may also be vulnerable.
Affected Products:
- 3proxy 3proxy 0.4.0
- 3proxy 3proxy 0.5
- 3proxy 3proxy 0.5.3g
- 3proxy 3proxy 0.5.3h
- 3proxy 3proxy 0.5.3i
- Gentoo Linux
