Title: Simpleserver WWW AUX Directory Denial of Service Vulnerability

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

Simpleserver:WWW is a freely available web server from AnalogX. Simpleserver:WWW is designed to provide an easy to use web server with a friendly interface.

A problem in the software could allow a remote user to deny services to legitimate users. In depth technical details of the problem are currently unavailable.

The web server process functions as a typical httpd, serving client connections on port 80. However, the server improperly handles the request for the /aux directory. Upon receiving a request for the /aux directory, the server becomes unstable, and crashes. A watchdog process or manual restart of the web server process is required to resume normal operation.
