Title: i-Systems Inc. Feedreader3 RSS Feed HTML-Injection Vulnerability

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

Feedreader3 is an RSS feed aggregator.

Feedreader3 is prone to an HTML-injection vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input before using it in dynamically generated content. Specifically, it fails to adequately sanitize user-supplied RSS data when it is viewed using the internal RSS feed browser.

Attacker-supplied HTML and script code could run in the context of the affected browser, potentially allowing an attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials or to control how the site is rendered to the user. Other attacks are also possible.

This issue affects Feedreader3 3.10; other versions may also be affected.

Affected Products:

  • i-Systems Inc. Feedreader3 3.10
