Description:
ebCrypt is a set of ActiveX components that add third-party encryption algorithms to VisualBasic, VBScript, JScript, and other applications/development environments.
The control is prone to a denial-of-service vulnerability. Specifically, user-supplied data to the 'AddString()' method of 'ebcrypt.dll' isn't properly verified. This issue affects the ActiveX control with CLSID: 3C34EAC7-9904-4415-BBE4-82AA8C0C0BE8
Exploiting this issue allows remote attackers to crash applications that employ the vulnerable control (typically Microsoft Internet Explorer).
ebCrypt 2.0 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
