Title: RETIRED: phpMyAdmin Multiple Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerabilities
Severity: MODERATE
Description:
phpMyAdmin is a web-based administrative interface for managing mySQL databases.
The application is prone to multiple cross-site scripting vulnerabilities because it fails to sanitize user-supplied input. These issues affect the following scripts and parameters:
tbl_export.php: unlim_num_rows, sql_query, pos
sql.php: session_max_rows
server_privileges.php: username
main.php: sql_query
An attacker may leverage these issues to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may allow the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and to launch other attacks.
NOTE: This BID is being retired because further analysis reveals that this issue is not exploitable.
Affected Products:
- phpMyAdmin phpMyAdmin 2.10.0.2
