Title: Drupal Cross-Site Request Forgery Vulnerability

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

Drupal is a content manager implemented in PHP.

Drupal is prone to a cross-site request-forgery vulnerability. Exploiting this issue may allow a remote attacker to use a victim's cookie credentials to perform actions with the application.

The vulnerability presents itself when an attacker crafts a malicious website and entices a user to visit the site while their session is still valid. Reportedly, the attacker can conduct certain malicious actions as the target user.

A successful attack would involve the use of specially crafted HTTP GET requests activated by the vulnerable user and could lead to the deletion of data and execution of certain commands.

Versions prior to Drupal 5.2 are affected by this issue.

Affected Products:

  • Drupal Drupal 5.0
  • Drupal Drupal 5.1
  • Drupal Drupal 5.1 revision 1.1
