Title: Juniper Steal-Belted Radius Certificate Revocation Authentication Bypass Vulnerability
Severity: HIGH
Description:
Juniper Steal-Belted Radius (SBR) is a device that provides an authentication service for computers on networks.
The device is prone to an authentication-bypass vulnerability because it permits attackers to use revoked certificates when gaining access to the affected network. Specifically, when authenticating through EAP TLS, an HTTP socket connection failure will occur. Since the certificate is not checked against the certificate revocation list (CRL), the attacker can gain unauthorized access to the affected computer using a revoked certificate. This could lead to other attacks.
This issue affects Juniper SBR 6.0.1; other versions may also be affected.
Affected Products:
- Juniper Networks Steal-Belted Radius 6.0.1
