Title: YABB Multiple Local File Include Vulnerabilities

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

YaBB is a web-based bulletin board implemented in Perl.

YaBB is prone to multiple local file-include vulnerabilities because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied input to the following scripts and parameters:

Sources/HelpCentre.pl: language
Sources/Subs.pl: use_lang
Sources/ICQPager.pl: language
Sources/Post.pl: actlang
Sources/InstantMessage.pl: actlang

Exploiting these issues may allow an attacker to access potentially sensitive information that may aid in further attacks.

This issue affects YaBB 2.1 and prior versions.

Affected Products:

  • YaBB YaBB 2.0
  • YaBB YaBB 2.0.0
  • YaBB YaBB 2.0.0 RC2
  • YaBB YaBB 2.0.0 rc1
  • YaBB YaBB 2.1
