Title: Cisco CallManager Search Form Cross Site Scripting Vulnerability

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

Cisco CallManager is a software-based call-processing component of the Cisco IP telephony solution.

Cisco CallManager is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability because the application fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied input. Specifically, the web interface fails to sanitize user-supplied data to the search form before displaying it back to users.

An attacker could exploit this issue by enticing an authenticated user to follow a malicious URI that may contain images or flash resources.

This issue is being monitored by Cisco BugID CSCsi12374.

Exploiting this vulnerability could allow an attacker to perform cross-site scripting attacks on unsuspecting users in the context of the affected website. As a result, the attacker may be able to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and to launch other attacks.

Cisco CallManager 4.1.1 is reported vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.

Affected Products:

  • Cisco Unified CallManager 4.1
  • Cisco Unified CallManager 4.1(3)SR4
  • Cisco Unified CallManager 4.1(3)sr.5
  • phpPgAdmin phpPgAdmin 4.1.1
