Title: Chili!Soft ASP Administration Console Default Password Vulnerability

Severity: HIGH

Description:

ChiliSoft ASP (CASP) is a cross-platform Active Server Pages implementation for Linux and other platforms including Lotus Domino, Apache, HP-UX, AIX and others.

Chilisoft ASP provides a remote web-based administration console which runs as root. The Chili!Soft ASP installation creates a default username and password for the remote administration console. If these values are not changed following installation, an attacker could use the standard password and gain administrative access.

This could permit a remote attacker to further compromise the server's functionality and security.

Affected Products:

  • Chilisoft ChiliSoft ASP for Linux 3.0.0
  • Chilisoft ChiliSoft ASP for Linux 3.5.0
  • Chilisoft ChiliSoft ASP for Linux 3.5.2
