Title: Solaris rlogind FTP bounce Vulnerability
Severity: CRITICAL
Description:
A vulnerability was discovered that may allow an unauthorized user to connect from an ftp server's data port to a server running rlogind. The server running rlogind must trust the server running ftpd for this vulnerability to be exploited. Thus, an unauthorized user may be able to execute arbitrary commands on the system running rlogind. This attack is using the FTP Bounce attack as a foundation. This vulnerability is listed as "Multiple Vendor FTP Bounce Vulnerability" in the SecurityFocus Vulnerability Database.
