Description:
The libX11 library is part of the X Windows system. There are several buffer overflow conditions that may allow an unauthorized user to gain root privileges through setuid and setgid programs that are linked to libX11.The bulletin itself is somewhat vague about where precisely the actual overflows reside although it is possible this is further discovery on Sun Bulletin 00153 Vulnerabilities in libXt. This bulletin is also listed in the SecurityFocus Vulnerability Database as 'Multiple Vendor libXT Vulnerability.
