Title: NetArt Media Blog System Multiple Remote File Include Vulnerabilities

Severity: HIGH

Description:

Blog System is a web-based blogging application implemented in PHP.

The application is prone to multiple remote file-include vulnerabilities because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied input to the following parameters in the 'ADMIN/index.php' and 'BO/index.php' scripts:

category
folder
action
lngTexts
lngConfig

An attacker can exploit these issues to execute malicious PHP code in the context of the webserver process. This may allow the attacker to compromise the application and the underlying system; other attacks are also possible.

Note that some of these issues may be exploitable only to include files from the local system. Successful exploits of some of these issues will require valid administrative credentials.

These issues affect Blog System 1.4; other versions may also be vulnerable.

Affected Products:

  • NetArt Media Blog System 1.4
