Title: Crontab File Disclosure Vulnerability

Severity: LOW

Description:

cron is a scheduling daemon distributed with many UNIX Operating Systems. A problem exists in versions of cron that could, under certain circumstances, allow a user to read certain arbitrary files belonging to other users.

The affected files must conform to the standard format specified for crontab, or be entirely commented out, containing only blank lines or lines beginning with a '#' character.

Files meeting this requirement may be readable by a local users. If such a file contains sensitive system data (such as usernames, passwords, or other data usable by cron) it may permit an attacker to further compromise the security of the affected host.
