Title: ABitWhizzy Multiple Cross Site Scripting And Directory Traversal Vulnerabilities

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

aBitWhizzy is a PHP script that uses whizzywig.js to create and edit web pages through a WYSIWYG interface.

aBitWhizzy is prone to multiple cross-site scripting and directory-traversal vulnerabilities because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied input to the 'd' parameter of the following scripts:

whizzylink.php
whizzypic.php
whizzery/whizzypic.php
whizzery/whizzylink.php

An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities to view the directory structure on the affected webserver and perform cross-site scripting attacks on unsuspecting users in the context of the affected website. This may help the attacker steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks.

Affected Products:

  • Unverse aBitWhizzy
