iWeb Systems Hyperseek 2000 is an internet directory application. Similar to an internet search engine, although
Hyperseek 2000 will return relevant listings from a database of directories rather than numerous unrelated links.
A specially crafted URL composed of '../' and '%00' via the statistics module (hsx.cgi) script, will disclose the directory listing of the target website, and allow read access to various files.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability will lead to the disclosure of sensitive data, and could lead to further attacks against the victim host.
