Description:
Smartmax MailMax is an email server for Windows 95/98/NT. It is vulnerable to buffer overflow attacks against the SMTP-command processing function. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary commands with the privileges of the user running MailMax.
Specific vulnerable version information is not currently known by SecurityFocus, but exploit code has been released for versions using version 1.5c of its ODBC Drivers. According to the exploit author all versions he has encountered use this driver.
