Title: Opera FTP PASV Port-Scanning Vulnerability

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

Opera is prone to vulnerability that may allow attackers to obtain potentially sensitive information.

This issue occurs because malicious FTP servers can cause the affected application to connect to arbitrary hosts. Specifically, when the browser is set to 'PASV' mode, the browser will redirect to a site pointed to by a PASV response sent by the malicious server. The browser will redirect to the site even if the specified host is listed in the unauthorized hosts list. This can allow the atacker to obtain information regarding services running on the vulnerable computer.

A successful exploit of this issue would cause the affected application to connect to arbitrary TCP ports and potentially reveal sensitive information about services that are running on the affected computer. Information obtained may aid attackers in further attacks.
