Description:
Microsoft PowerPoint is an application which enables users to create slide show presentations. PowerPoint incorporates various media services to allow presentations to be broadcast over the internet or locally.
Due to a parsing function within the execution process of a PowerPoint presentation, it is possible for an attacker to produce a buffer overflow condition.
Maliciously user-supplied data may be embedded within the document in such a way that the hostile code will be executed when the file is accessed.
Successful exploitaiton of this vulnerability could lead to complete compromise of the affected host.
