Severity: CRITICAL
Description:
Microsoft Content Management Server (MCMS) is an application that allows users to create, publish, and manage web content remotely. It operates in conjunction with Internet Information Server and SQL Server.
MCMS is prone to an arbitrary code-execution vulnerability because the software fails to properly validate user-supplied input. Specifically, the application fails to properly validate malicious HTTP requests containing unexpected characters.
