Title: EPortfolio Client Side Input Validation Vulnerability

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

ePortfolio is an ecommerce application implemented in Java.

The application is prone to a client-side input-validation vulnerability because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied data. Specifically, the application validates input entirely though the client side using JavaScript. Attackers can exploit this issue to bypass the input-validation mechanism using tools such as Webscarab to modify HTTP requests.

An attacker can exploit this issue to perform various attacks that are caused by input-validation vulnerabilities. These may include cross-site scripting attacks, SQL-injection attacks, and possibly others.

Affected Products:

  • TKS-Banking Solutions ePortfolio 1.0
