Title: EMC NetWorker Management Console Remote Authentication Bypass Vulnerability

Severity: CRITICAL

Description:

The EMC NetWorker Management Console is an administrative Java-based interface for EMC NetWorker installations.

The application is prone to a vulnerability that allows remote attackers to bypass authentication.

This issue presents itself when remote attackers exploit a weak authentication mechanism and use the Java-based console to bypass it. The attacker would then have full administrative access to affected EMC NetWorker servers.

Successfully exploiting this issue allows remote attackers to gain remote administrative access to vulnerable computers.

Affected Products:

  • EMC Legato Networker 7.3.2
