Xpression News is a news manager written in PHP.
Xpression News is prone to multiple directory-traversal vulnerabilities because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input to the 'xnews-template' parameter of the 'archives.php' and 'news.php' scripts. An attacker's input would include specially crafted HTTP GET requests containing directory-traversal strings.
The attacker can exploit these vulnerabilities to retrieve arbitrary files from the vulnerable system.
Xpression News version 1.0.1 is vulnerable to these issues.
