Title: 212cafeBoard Multiple Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerabilities

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

212cafeBoard is a web-log application implemented in PHP.

212cafeBoard is prone to multiple cross-site scripting vulnerabilities because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input.

The following issues affect each corresponding version of the application:

- Version 6.30 Beta is prone to a cross-site scripting issue in the 'user' parameter of the 'list3.php' script.

- Version 0.08 Beta is prone to a cross-site scripting issue in the 'keyword' parameter of the 'search.php' script.

An attacker may leverage these issues to have arbitrary script code execute in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may help the attacker steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks.

These issues affect versions 0.08 Beta and 6.30 Beta; other versions may also be affected.

Affected Products:

  • 212cafeBoard 212cafeBoard 0.08 Beta
  • 212cafeBoard 212cafeBoard 6.30 Beta
