Title: Durian Web Application Server Remote Buffer Overflow Vulnerability

Severity: HIGH

Description:

Durian Web Application Server is a Free Delphi Web Application Server.

Durian Web Application Server is prone to a remote buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to bounds-check user-supplied data before copying it into an insufficiently sized buffer. Specifically, this issue occurs because the application handles a string that is larger than 1000 bytes.

An attacker could exploit this issue to have arbitrary code execute in the context of an affected webserver. This may lead to the compromise of the webserver.

Durian Web Application Server 3.02 freeware for Windows is vulnerable to this issue; other versions may also be affected.

Affected Products:

  • Durian Web Application Server 3.02
