Title: PHP ICalendar Multiple Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerabilities

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

PHP icalendar is a web-based calendar application; it is implemented in PHP.

The application is prone to multiple cross-site scripting vulnerabilities because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input to the URI parameters of multiple scripts.

The 'getdate' and 'cpath' parameters of the following scripts are affected:

day.php
week.php
month.php
year.php

The 'getdate' parameter is also affected in the following scripts:

rss/index.php
print.php
preferences.php

An attacker may leverage these issues to have arbitrary script code execute in the browser of an unsuspecting user. This may help the attacker steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks.

Affected Products:

  • PHP iCalendar PHP iCalendar 1.1
  • PHP iCalendar PHP iCalendar 2.0.0 B
  • PHP iCalendar PHP iCalendar 2.22
  • PHP iCalendar PHP iCalendar 2.23 rc1
