Title: Amateras SNS Unspecified Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

Amateras SNS (Simple News System) is a news manager implemented in PHP/AJAX.

The application is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input to unspecified parameters and scripts.

An attacker may leverage this issue to have arbitrary script code execute in the browser of an unsuspecting user. This may help the attacker steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks.

Amateras SNS 3.11 and prior versions are vulnerable to this issue.

Affected Products:

  • Amateras sns 3.11
