Description:
Pearl Forums for Mambo is a web-based forum add-on for Mambo CMS. It is implemented in PHP.
The application is prone to multiple remote file-include vulnerabilities because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input to the following parameter and script groups:
admin.php : templatesDirectory
password.php : GlobalSettings[templatesDirectory]
profile.php : GlobalSettings[templatesDirectory]
merge.php : GlobalSettings[templatesDirectory]
adminPolls.php : GlobalSettings[templatesDirectory]
poll.php : GlobalSettings[templatesDirectory]
A successful exploit of these issues allows an attacker to execute arbitrary server-side script code on an affected computer with the privileges of the webserver process. This may facilitate unauthorized access.
Version 2.4 is vulnerable to these issues; other versions may also be affected.
