Title: Sphpblog Multiple Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerabilities

Severity: MODERATE

Description:

Sphpblog is a web-based application implemented in PHP.

Sphpblog is prone to multiple cross-site scripting vulnerabilities because it fails to sanitize user-input. This issue affects the 'action' parameter of the 'add_block.php' script and the 'entry' parameter of the 'index.php' script.

An attacker may leverage these issues to have arbitrary script code execute in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may help the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and to launch other attacks.

Sphpblog 0.8 is vulnerable.

Affected Products:

  • sphpBlog sphpBlog 0.8
