Description:
Yazd Discussion Forum is a Java-based online forum application.
The application handles permissions in an insecure manner. User accounts are granted unintended permissions. The issues include:
- a design error in user-permission assembly granted users permissions beyond the intended settings
- a design error allowed users with permissions in one forum to post replies to messages in all forums.
Exploiting these issues may allow a malicious user to create, modify, or read data in privileged areas of the application.
Versions prior to 3.0 are vulnerable.
