Title: JAF CMS Multiple Remote File Include Vulnerabilities

Severity: HIGH

Description:

JAF CMS is a content manager implemented in PHP.

JAF CMS is prone to multiple remote file-include vulnerabilities because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input. These issues affect the 'main_dir' parameter in the following scripts:

- main.php
- headlines.php

An attacker can exploit these issues to include an arbitrary remote file containing malicious PHP code and execute it in the context of the webserver process. This may allow the attacker to compromise the application and the underlying system; other attacks are also possible.

These issues affect JAF CMS 4.0 RC1 and earlier versions.

Affected Products:

  • Salims Softhouse JAF CMS 1.0.0
  • Salims Softhouse JAF CMS 1.5.0
