Title: CA eTrust Security Command Center and eTrust Audit Multiple Vulnerabilities
Severity: HIGH
Description:
CA eTrust Security Command Center (eSCC) is an application for managing security systems; eTrust Audit is an application for enterprise auditing. These applications are developed by Computer Associates.
CA eTrust Security Command Center (eSCC) and eTrust Audit are prone to multiple vulnerabilities, including:
- A remote information-disclosure vulnerability that may be exploited by an attacker to discover the webserver path. This issue is due to improper processing of the 'PIProfile' function when quote characters are sent to the 'ePPIServlet' script.
- A local information-disclosure and arbitrary-file-deletion issue that may allow an authenticated user to access or delete arbitrary files with permissions of the service account. This issue occurs because the software fails to properly validate a temporary file's location as reported by the 'getadhochtml ' function of the 'eSMPAuditServlet' class.
- A replay vulnerability due to a lack of proper authentication in the event-alerting system. An attacker may exploit this issue to send false-positive alerts by utilizing the 'eTSAPISend.exe' executable.
An attacker may exploit these vulnerabilities to access sensitive information, delete arbitrary files with the permissions of the service account, and carry out external replay attacks.
