Title: Docpile Init_path Parameter Multiple Remote File Include Vulnerabilities

Severity: HIGH

Description:

Docpile is a web-based document-management application, written in PHP.

Docpile is prone to multiple remote file-include vulnerabilities because the application fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input. Specifically, it fails to sanitize input to the 'INIT_PATH' parameter of the following scripts:

/lib/folder.class.php
/lib/email.inc..php
/lib/document.class.php
/lib/auth.inc.php

An attacker can exploit these issues to include an arbitrary remote file containing malicious PHP code and execute it in the context of the webserver process. This may allow the attacker to compromise the application and the underlying system; other attacks are also possible.

These issues affect version 0.2.2; other versions may also be vulnerable.

Affected Products:

  • Docpile Docpile 0.2.2
