HP Multi-Computer/ServiceGuard is a facility shipped with HP-UX designed to ensure high-availability of HP systems and clusters.
According to HP Security Advisory HPSBUX0011-129, there exists a security vulnerability in this software. The default permissions of files and directories belonging to MC/ServiceGuard allow malicious users to create a denial of service. HP has released patches for this vulnerability available from their patch matrix (see solutions tab for patch numbers).
