Title: JD WordPress Multiple Remote File Include Vulnerabilities

Severity: HIGH

Description:

JD-WordPress is a module for the Joomla CMS; it is implemented in PHP.

The Joomla Server component in JD-WordPress is prone to multiple remote file-include vulnerabilities because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input to the 'mosConfig_absolute_path' parameter of the following scripts:

wp-comments-post.php
wp-feed.php
wp-trackback.php

An attacker can exploit these issues to include an arbitrary remote file containing malicious PHP code and execute it in the context of the webserver process. This may allow the attacker to compromise the application and to gain access to the underlying system.

Version 2.0-1.0 RC2 is vulnerable to these issues; prior versions may also be affected.

Affected Products:

  • Joomla JD-WordPress 2.0-1.0 RC 2
