Title: PHP Live Helper Initiate.PHP Remote File Include Vulnerability

Severity: HIGH

Description:

PHP Live Helper is a customer-support application implemented in PHP.

PHP Live Helper is prone to a remote file-include vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input to the 'abs_path' parameter of 'initiate.php'.

An attacker can exploit this issue to include an arbitrary remote file containing malicious PHP code and execute it in the context of the webserver process. This may allow the attacker to compromise the application and the underlying system; other attacks are also possible.

Affected Products:

  • PHP Live Helper PHP Live Helper 1.5
  • PHP Live Helper PHP Live Helper 2.0
  • PHP Live Helper PHP Live Helper 2.0. Beta
