Title: SelectaPix Multiple Input Validation Vulnerabilities
Severity: MODERATE
Description:
SelectaPix is a web-based image gallery implemented in PHP.
SelectaPix is prone to multiple input-validation vulnerabilities. The issues include cross-site scripting and SQL-injection vulnerabilities. These issues are due to a failure in the application to properly sanitize user-supplied input.
- Multiple cross-site scripting vulnerabilities affect the following script and parameter groups:
popup.php: albumID
view_album.php: albumID
- Multiple SQL-injection vulnerabilities affect the following script and parameter groups:
view_album.php: albumID
popup.php: imageID
index.php: albumID
A successful exploit of these vulnerabilities could allow an attacker to compromise the application, access or modify data, steal cookie-based authentication credentials, or even exploit vulnerabilities in the underlying database implementation. Other attacks are also possible.
