TippingPoint Security Management System (SMS) is an appliance for managing multiple Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS). It comes equipped with a web interface for remote management.
TippingPoint SMS is prone to an information-disclosure vulnerability. This issue is due to a failure in the web interface to properly secure access to certain directories.
The information available may include the user manual or configuration data (if the application is configured for backup).
An attacker can exploit this issue to retrieve potentially sensitive information.
