Description:
Invision Power Board is web forum software. It is implemented in PHP and is available for UNIX, Linux, and variants as well as Microsoft Windows operating systems.
Invision Power Board is prone to an SQL-injection vulnerability. The application fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input to the 'to_by_id' parameter of the 'func_msg.php' script before using it in an SQL query.
This vulnerability could permit remote attackers to pass malicious input to database queries, resulting in the modification of query logic or other attacks.
Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to compromise the application, access or modify data, or exploit vulnerabilities in the underlying database implementation.
