Title: LifeType Index.PHP Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability
Severity: MODERATE
Description:
LifeType is a web blog application written in PHP.
The application is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input.
Since the application fails to properly sanitize the 'show' parameter when it is submitted to the 'index.php' script, an attacker can submit malicious HTML and script code.
An attacker may leverage this issue to have arbitrary script code executed in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may help the attacker steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks.
