Title: Web-App.Org and Web-App.Net Multiple Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerabilities
Severity: MODERATE
Description:
Web-App.Org and Web-App.Net are web-portal applications implemented in Perl.
The applications are prone to multiple cross-site scripting vulnerabilities because they fail to properly sanitize user-supplied input to the following parameters of the 'index.cgi' script:
action
id
num
board
cat
writer
viewcat
img
curcatname
vsSD
An attacker may leverage these issues to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may help the attacker steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks.
