Description:
Wednesday September 27th, 2000 Hewlett Packard released an adivsory (attached in full in the 'Credit' section of this advisory) conerning a remotely exploitable buffer overflow attack against
the OpenView Network Node Manager (NMI) a software package for network management via SNMP.
The overflow is reported to be in the ovalarmsrv Object Manager responsible for serving up alerts to the NMI. The advisory posted gave no further information.
