Title: php iCalendar Arbitrary File Upload Vulnerability
Severity: HIGH
Description:
PHP iCalendar is a web-based calendar application implemented in PHP.
PHP iCalendar is prone to an arbitrary file-upload vulnerability. This issue is due to a failure in the application to properly sanitize user-supplied input.
By design, the 'calendar/publish.ical.php' script permits file uploads with an '.ics' extension. However, an attacker can supply a NULL character as part of the filename and bypass this restriction to upload an arbitrary file.
An attacker can exploit this vulnerability to upload arbitrary code and execute it in the context of the webserver process. This may facilitate unauthorized access or privilege escalation; other attacks are also possible.
This issue requires that 'phpicalendar_publishing' be enabled in 'config.inc.php'.
